He aquí unas ilustraciones que hice de cara a la fireta de valencia y para bebé de Zara  http://knitandfun.blogspot.com.es/p/fireta-destiu.html,las he hecho con la técnica de ceras acuarelables,son dibujitos de una hora de proceso mas o menos pero esto no les resta encanto pues son bastante espontáneos y tienen una inocencia de la que carecen otras ilustraciones mías un poco más trabajadas,espero que os gusten,por cierto Suny me compro una de estas ilustraciones (gracias por tu apoyo).

Hooola de nuevo,empiezo con una conversación que tuve hace unos dias con un ilustrador,en esta conversación nació a raíz de un libro de Piranesi y derivó hacia mi sistema-proceso de ilustración,pues el sujeto en cuestión se quedó poco menos que perplejo al explicarle dicho proceso,bueno este no creía

que mi proceso de trabajo fuese válido,yo le explicaba que primero dibujo a mano,escaneo,trazo a colores planos dicho esbozo o dibujo,exporto a photoshop,aplico texturas que he pintado manualmente,imprimo una copia,la retoco a mano y la vuelvo a escanear.Sobretodo se quedó perplejo en este último segmento del trabajo,el de impresión y retoque a mano y vuelta a escanear,no entendía este mete-saca del mundo digital al analógico y opinaba que había una pérdida de calidad del color en dicho proceso,yo le contesté que si sacabas una buena impresión y después hacías un buen escaner y se ajustaba bien el color no había problema,no se lo acababa de creer...bueno en definitiva cada maestrillo con su cuadernillo,pasa bastante a menudo con la ilustración digital,que la gente quiere ver un original pintado a mano y no una impresión de una ilustración,por supuesto yo no voy a exponer en el MACBA (aunque en este hay obras digitales también),es un poco la idea de la artesanía de lo hecho a mano,por eso en parte imprimo el arte final y lo retoco a mano.

Bueno... esta nueva ilustración de temática mitológica (de nuevo) ,versa en torno a Perseo y la cabeza de la Górgona Medusa (la única mortal de las Górgonas),esta es utilizada a modo de arma de destrucción masiva contra un Leviathán surgido del mar,he intentado dar mas dinamismo a la escena evitando el hieratismo de los personajes en anteriores ilustraciones,por lo tanto Perseo está saltando hacia atrás y utilizando la cabeza de la Medusa con su mirada petrificante.

La cabeza de Medusa la he interpretado de color azul oscuro,para que parezca una máscara y de la sensación de que no tiene vida,al fondo tres ojos gigantescos observan la escena y buscan acabar con Perseo,el Leviathán ocupa todo el fondo de la ilustración para generar una sensación de un monstruo gigante e inconmensurable.espero que os guste,ciao!!!

Hola de nuevo,esta entrada es un pequeño encargo para una exposición de puntos de libro dedicada a el día de sant Jordi,cuya temática es en torno al dragón.Esta exposición se efectuará en el espacio que tiene la revista Capgros de Mataró http://www.capgros.com/ montada por la associació Sant Luc http://www.santlluc.org/,gacias Teresa por confiar en mi "arte".Opté por hacer un dragón ornamental y no demasiado fiero me recuerda un poquito a un huevo fabergé supongo que el subsconciente me la ha jugado,pues creo que matar a una criatura así (por muchas princesas que se coma,pues de algo se tiene que alimentar) es como destrozar unos de estos preciados huevos-tesoro (parafraseando a Iñigo Montoya en la princesa prometida  "antes destrozaría una vidriera de colores que matar a una hombre como vos").

El dragón está mas preocupado por la herida que le ha hecho Jordi en la cola (pues creo que aún no era santo) ,que por comerse al susodicho héroe,espero que os guste y un beso a todos.

Hola vuelvo con las entradas mitológicas,en este caso es el señor Ulises espartanizado y perseguido por un inmenso cíclope entre unos acantilados de los que dudo que Ulises pueda escapar en esta ocasión,en el escudo de este ,he sustituido el símbolo lambda por un icono de una de las Górgonas,la medusa. 

El mascarón de  proa cual mensajera sibilina parece avisar del peligro inminente que se acerca por popa,ausencia de miedo en las miradas y una calma chica que precede a una gran batalla,ahí lo dejo.

La técnica es la de siempre,esbozo previo a lápiz o tinta,trazar en vectores la ilustración y aplicar texturas prepintadas en papel con acuarelas o  gouache esta vez no he pintado sobre la impresión de esta ilustración pues quedaba muy sucia y  caótica (no se entendía),espero que la disfrutéis!!

concepts de color

Siempre me han gustado los dibujos conceptuales previos a una ilustración finalizada,me gusta ver el trazo del ilustrador-artista y ver como aplica el color , ver el proceso gráfico y finalmente ver el resultado de esta idea.Me encanta ver los bocetos con sus fallos, líneas  repasadas y vueltas a dibujar,al igual que ver los entornos de trabajo (léase estudios) donde estos trabajan,los hay desde el que tiene los colores ordenados cromaticamente y todo bien archivado,hasta el mas caótico y anárquico,también los hay que se rodean de sus tesoros mas preciados como muñecos (este es mi caso),carteles,objetos varios de los cuales supongo que obtienen una energía creativa extra para luchar contra el espacio vacuo que es el papel en blanco u otro soporte válido.

Bueno,a lo que iba os muestro tres conceptos ,mas a nivel color/composición que no de dibujo que estoy creando y que mas tarde supongo que se convertirán en ilustraciones finalizadas,la verdad es que este tipo de trabajos me sirven como bálsamo tranquilizante,pues tengo libertad de trazo y color completa, pues todo está expuesto a rectificaciones posteriores y no trabajas con la presión de un arte final.

La temática de estos conceptos versan entorno a barcos naufragados,pantanos malditos,barcos fantasmas coruscantes,bahías malditas,etc,etc...

Están creados en formato apaisado a modo paisajístico mas que nada porque los he pensado como fondos de apoyo a un personaje.Están creados con ceras acuarelables y sobre cartón pluma negro,con lo que parto de la oscuridad para ir añadiendo luz y esto hace que las atmósferas sean mas nocturnas u oscuras y les de a estas un aire de misterio y de un supesto peligro acechante,estos esbozos de color no me han llevado mas de media hora o incluso menos el ejecutarlos,espero que os gusten y ya os enseñaré el resultado final cuando lo tenga,ciao!!

Hola fans,esta entrada tiene que ver con la solidaridad y Etiopía,os pongo un enlace donde se explica todo http://souritalavie.blogspot.com/.Resumiendo Sara,mi mujer monta un rastro solidario y en el colaboro con unas mini ilustraciones mías,este tipo de ilustraciones suelo utilizarlas como pruebas de color para a posteriori hacer una ilustración mas elaborada,no dejan de ser ilustraciones por ser pruebas previas,por cierto las pondré super baratas a uno 10 euros la pieza y también llevaré serigrafías ( uff me cuesta un mundo deshacerme de ellas,pero todo por la buena causa),aquí tenéis una imagen de estas,posiblemente añada alguna nueva!!!

Hoola de nuevo,esta entrada no es una pequeña liberación de estilo y manierismo adquirido,no tiene mucho que ver con los trabajos acaecidos anteriormente,ni en estilo ni en contenido,pero bueno...hay que hacer de todo.

Estas ilustraciones son dos obras que presenté para un concurso de unas bodegas de Galicia,en la primera (la mas abstracta) representa lo que yo creo que es Galicia,verde,brumas,mar... como se ve en el detalle de la ilustración las brumas se levantan junto con una bandada de pájaros,la segunda obra es mas figurativa y representa la tierra y flora Gallega junto con la parra (que original,eh?).

Las técnicas son mixtas abarcan la acuarela,gouache, anihilinas sobre tejido,etc...
